What is MCAP?
MCAP is the abbreviation for the Middlesex County (NJ) Association of Psychologists. We are an affiliate of the New Jersey Psychological Association which, in turn, is an affiliate of the American Psychological Association.
MCAP members are psychologists and other professionals who have an interest in mental health, who live or practice in Middlesex County, New Jersey.
We have joined together to provide both a source of accurate information for the public on psychological issues, and to establish a network of psychologists in Middlesex County for our own professional development.
Our mission rests on three pillars:
- MCAP is dedicated to advancing psychology as a science, as a profession, and as a means of promoting health and human welfare
- MCAP is dedicated to promoting collaborative relationships among and between psychologists and other professional groups
- MCAP is sensitive to the diverse needs and populations of both our members and the residents of Middlesex County
